【摘要】 诸多史料和研究成果已经揭示出中日两国对甲午战争的图片报道在视觉呈现及其传播效果上的显著区别,并在新闻观念的现代化水平的维度上展开了若干讨论。但相关研究大多基于报道的主题和内容层面,而较少基于视觉媒介的独特性展开探讨,也因而忽视了视觉媒介技术、具体的历史文化语境以及新闻观念三者之间的丰富互动。立足于视觉媒介报道新闻事件的时空观念,通过对《点石斋画报》关于中日战争的图片报道的符号学分析及社会文化背景的探讨,发现《点石斋画报》在报道战争新闻时,展示出一种不同于摄影媒介和现代新闻观念的时空特征,不仅影响了读者对中日战争的想象和感知,也折射出中国在发展现代新闻观念过程中的困境。这种时空观念的成因,主要是受当时的历史语境可以提供的智识资源和视觉媒介的限制,并消解了现代战争对于新闻观念可能带来的革新。更多还原

【Abstract】 Many researches have shown the different visual reports and their effects on the Sino-Japanese War between 1894 and 1895. However,most of them focus on subjects and contents of the reports. To a large extent,the technical feature and symbol system of visual reports are neglected. This essay studies the symbolic feature and the social-cultural context of Dianshizhai Pictorial and argues that its images construct a different idea of time and space from modern photojournalism and influence its readers ’perception of the Sino-Japanese War.更多还原
